A social entrepreneur is a person who is attuned to both business and the big picture; who applies his or her business expertise to create social value; and who provides smart solutions to the community problems by thinking like an entrepreneur. Traditionally, entrepreneurs have focussed on products, services and profits. We believe entrepreneur can achieve more social impact that is above and beyond business success. They can leverage their skills and resources to address serious social needs, expand their impact and bolster communities, neighbourhoods and services in the place they do business.
