Natural Resources Management
Somali Social Entrepreneurs (SomaSEF) works to support and shape fairer, more sustainable governance of natural resources by generating the evidence needed to improve key policies, institutions, and legal frameworks. Our priority is to increase local control and management of natural resources and other ecosystems by working in partnership with networks and organisations in Somalia and global donors. Through research, dialogue, and action, we raise awareness of the key role that small-scale producers and local people play in maintaining their resources and help identify tools and tactics to strengthen their capacity.
Investment Promotion and Finance
SomaSEF Supports the establishment of investment partnerships that bring together key stakeholders – representatives of the Private Financial Service Providers. (PFIs) existing in Somalia, locally established microfinance institutions, investors and civil society representatives and entrepreneurs and in partnerships with donors make it possible to gradually create investment incentives, build public-sector capacities, mobilise public and private resources, and drive forward sustainable economic and social development.
Renewable Energy Adapatation
We always place a strong emphasis on saving energy and improving energy efficiency and adoption of renewable energy. An important strategic activity of SomaSEF is engaging in strategic partnerships with like-minded organisation at all levels and working closely with several partner organisations around the world. Together with these partners we intend to form a strong global alliance to advance renewable energy.
